Guest blogging is a great way to establish your authority. It is a method used by the bloggers to grow their dominance and blog readership. Guest bloggers provide content to blogs that are related to their industry. In return, they receive exposure to their audience and sometimes even a backlink. By doing so, the guest bloggers promote their own brand and blog.
It is also a great way to build relationships with other bloggers and experts in your industry. But the question is – How to start guest blogging?
We here at ShoutMeLoud will help you get answers to all your queries. That is why this week’s #ShoutersChat was: “Guest Blogging to level up your blog”.

Q3. How often do you guest post?
From the Shouter’s community:
A3: Once per week is a good, productive, effective, non-spammy number. That’s what I do, at least. #ShoutersChat (I’m just joining in from Morocco!)
— Youness Bermime (@YounessBermime) December 23, 2017
#ShoutersChat A3: For business purpose, I continuously try to write and send a guest post to relevant & popular sites, but only a few get published in a month. For my personal blog, 1-2 published guest post in a month is something I always expect.
— Deepanshu Gahlaut (@DpanshuGahlaut) December 23, 2017
A2:I think it starts with knocking on lots of doors.Be a writer who’s been used to writing a lot on your own blog so that you have a portfolio when you approach the websites you’d like to write for so they can gauge your writing style. Q4. Do you focus on quality or quantity of a guest post? Why?
From the Shouter’s community:
A4. Just like a quality product stays for long, quality post remains etched in others mind for long #shouterschat
— Dr.Shivangi Aggarwal (@Shivangi_doc) December 23, 2017
A4. Quality Counts.
Quantity doesn’t matter if it does not provide any value to the blog’s content and its readers. Poor quality content gets unnoticed and there is no benefit of guest posting just to create backlinks, instead, search engines penalize it. #ShoutersChat— Mohd Adnan (@shoutadnan) December 23, 2017
#ShoutersChat A4: QUALITY – because, the days of spam, low quality/duplicate content are gone. If you are not writing high-quality, useful and original content, you’ll get no real benefits of #guestposting such as branding, SEO, community building, and credibility.

Q5. Do you think guest blogging is worth it in 2018?
From the Shouter’s community:
A5. Yes, undoubtedly its worth as it captures a wider audience & helps to brand a blog and helps you to connect with experts in your niche. Networking is essential and its mutually beneficial#ShoutersChat
— Mohd Adnan (@shoutadnan) December 23, 2017
A5: Guest posting will always be worth it, no matter what SEOs say or Google thinks. Guest posting has been around even before the internet (forwards on books, articles on magazines) Although, the links themselves may not help in ranking, they’ll still be powerful #shouterschat
— Youness Bermime (@YounessBermime) December 23, 2017
A.5 For me Definitely Yes, Because I am waiting to write my posts for popular blog @shoutmeloud Which I am reading since 4-5 years back. #ShoutersChat
