Google Maps has begun highlighting the locations of charging stations for electric vehicles.
To display these locations in the Google Maps app just search for keywords like “EV charging stations.” Maps will then display the nearest supported locations.
Maps will also show information about the business where the station is located, the types of ports available, charging speeds, and number of ports.
Like any other location in Google Maps, listings for EV charging stations will include user-submitted information such as photos, ratings, reviews, and questions.
Businesses that offer EV charging stations will now have a link to information about the chargers on their Maps listing.
Google Maps supports EV charging stations worldwide, including:
- Tesla
- Chargepoint
- SemaConnect
- EVgo
- Blink
- Chargemaster
- Pod Point
- Chargefox
Listings for EV charging stations in Google Maps is rolling out first on iOS and Android. They will be rolled out to the desktop version of Maps in the coming weeks.
